Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 July 2026

Scribble It is a free multiplayer drawing game. It has no accounts, no advertising and no tracking. This page explains exactly what happens to your data when you play.

Your camera never leaves your device

Air-drawing is optional. If you turn it on, your browser asks permission to use your camera, and the video is analysed entirely inside your own browser by the MediaPipe hand-tracking model. Camera frames are never uploaded to our server, never recorded and never shown to other players — only the resulting brush strokes are shared, exactly as if you had used a mouse. The small camera preview is rendered locally for your eyes only. You can revoke camera access at any time in your browser settings, or by pressing the Air-draw button again.

What we handle while you play

All of this lives only in the server's temporary memory. There is no database. Your drawings and messages are discarded when the turn ends, and everything about a room is deleted the moment the last player leaves. Restarting the server erases it all too.

What is stored on your device

We use no cookies. Two small preferences are saved in your browser's local storage so the game remembers them next time: scribble-muted (whether sound is off) and scribble-hand (whether you air-draw with your left or right hand). Clearing your browser data removes them.

Third parties

We do not sell or share your data. However, loading the game makes requests to a few outside services, which — like any web request — can see your IP address and basic browser information:

Children

Scribble It is not directed at children under 13. The game also includes an optional 18+ word category that a room host may enable; there is no age verification, so please only turn it on among consenting adults. See the Game Policy for more.

Your choices

Play under a nickname, decline the camera permission and use your mouse instead, or simply close the tab — since nothing is stored, leaving a room removes your data from it. If you would like anything clarified or removed, get in touch below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it.
